Our amazing ambassadors
Jamie Durie and Bodhi
Jamie Durie and his Rhodesian Ridgeback Bodhi are a winning team. He does the TV, books, landscape design and much more, and Bodhi does the sniffing, sleeping, playing and licking.
Jamie is a horticulturalist and international award-winning landscape designer, and founder and Director of Durie Design. He's the author of nine best-selling books and is a successful television host and producer. A committed environmentalist and pioneer of ‘The Outdoor Room’ concept, Jamie has changed the face of landscape design, inspiring a whole new generation to rediscover their garden. He's one of Australia's greatest exports, having hosted or appeared in more than 30 television shows worldwide, including the Oprah Winfrey Show; but this Manly-born boy remains passionate about the great outdoors, nature and our animal friends.
He says: "Hi Guys, I love all creatures great and small, especially my beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback, Bodhi. Bodhi and I are very proud and excited to be supporters of BARS MARCH because they raise funds for animal welfare with a lot of fun to be had along the way. Animals are all about living in the moment and making the most of each day and BARS MARCH is all about having fun responsibly and giving back to those beautiful creatures in our lives who give so much to us every day! Join us!"
Dr Katrina Warren
TV and media vet Dr Katrina Warren, one of the country's most recognised and loved veterinarians, has kindly lent her support to BARS MARCH again for 2014. Katrina, also author of the fun dog training book Wonderdogs: Tricks and Training (HarperCollins), will be appearing during March to meet her fans and their pets.
Katrina is an Animal Welfare League ambassador, and proud owner of Riley, a rescue golden retriever as well as Mr Fox, a cheeky Maine Coon cat.

"I am delighted to be involved with BARS MARCH," she says. "It's a fantastic initiative that encourages responsible drinking in a social environment, while raising much needed funds for animals in need."
Bruce the Bulldog
Bruce is a lovable English bulldog and the face of the Lord Dudley Hotel in Woollahra, Sydney. Bruce is sociable, gregarious and enjoys activities such as swimming at Ben Buckler in Bondi, playing ball and sleeping. His favourite pastime is posting on the Lord Dudley Instagram and Twitter with a profile that grows every day. Bruce also loves the simple things in life, such as hanging with locals and their dogs outside the Lord Dudley on a sunny afternoon. Bruce knows he's pretty lucky to have an idyllic lifestyle with loving owners, so he's keen to help his less fortunate buddies find a great future too.
She's a dog about Sydney Town who loves all things fashion and has a serious online shopping addiction. Always on the hunt for a new outfit for her next social event, she takes her job as the Customer Happiness Manager at clothing boutique St Frock veru seriously. Weighing in at a tiny 3.3kgs, Fashion Dog makes up for her small stature with her big, lovable personality. Life wasn't always so sweet; Fashion Dog was looking for a forever home when she met her human Sandradee 18 months ago. The rest is history and a huge wardrobe of dresses. Kylie Speer and Rowdy
The Bars March Cheer Squad
Newfoundland Rowdy, assisted by his wonderful human TV presenter Kylie, lent his 80 kilos to the cause when he became Kings Cross' most memorable – and friendliest – doorman at the Bars March 2011 glam wrap party at Beach Haus.
In 2012, TV and radio personality Mike was one of the brave crew who completed the ultimate Bars March challenge: 30 Bars in ONE Day. And he did it wearing lederhosen all the way. That's dedication.
